Sender Films captured all the action for the pcoming television series "First Ascent," and put together an Adventurer of the Year video:

The video features Potter's hybrid of climbing and BASE jumping, and is part of a six-part series that travels to places like Patagonia, Alaska and Catalunya with the likes of Chris Sharma, Alex Honnold and many others -- debuting on the Nat Geo Adventure Channel in January 2010.

For president? What kind of example is he setting for youngsters coming up? The man is a maniac. He should be banned from climbing..

Are all presidents not maniacs??This man soloed Cerro Torre and Fitzroy (the first&only) to name a few.My climbing hero for sure.I never wish for bodyparts&tempraments from other, but sure wish I had his balls and talent.Must admit his a bit crazy.When his off to solo something I reckon there is not a "be careful honey I want to grow old with you" from his wife(Steph Davis),she's just as crazy and not short on balls&talent!

Hey Eeyore, you can't be serious?! Bad example?! Whilst we're all brushing away the cobwebs of our comfort zones, this man is pushing and testing the boundaries of what is possible. Potter and his ilk are people who are willing to sacrifice everything in order to live on the edge. They give up the boring, the average and the mundane for a life spent achieving the impossible and really living. Their example couldn't possibly be better.
