So... we're looking at helping a centre out by placing some anchors for them.
We have placed express anchors in hard rock (Magaliesburg), but have little experience between us with glue-ins. We need to do glue-in anchors due to the rock being sandstone.

I have sourced some of the Raumer SS anchors (as used by the ARF), but am struggling to find some consensus on which is the best glue, and where to get it.
Looking at the tests done at Swinburne, it seems the Upat ampoule is the best glue. Anyone know where I can get this? I know I can get hold of the Fischer VS / PS glue where I am, but not too sure of its value. Although an Austrian suggested it was good on one of the previous posts.
Any ideas? Preferably from experience.

O wait, MagaliesbUrg, nevermind then. I thought for moment you said MagaliesbErg. ARF is your best bet for help.

Contact the guys from the ARF (Andy Davies), I'm sure they will be able to help you out. And yes, make sure you get the right glue - someone sold me the wrong stuff once, despite my questioning him twice about my intended use..

Therea re a bunch of glue suppliers, Hilti, Upat, Ramset, Wurt. They supply glue for concrete anchors to at industrial sfety specs. Important to check expiry dates (in SA) & clean the holes well.

ARF uses the Fischer injection system but we also considered the Hilti system. You can't use ampoules with the Raumer d-bolts as the ampoule is used with threaded bar that is literally drilled into the hole / ampoule in order to assure THOROUGH mixing.

If anyone is going to glue please make the effort of getting trained by the supplier. The following are important:

1] right glue
2] glue expiry
3] flush glue nozzle
4] ensure drilled hole is uber clean
5] test the final product - clip in the bolt with a quickdraw and try and pull it out

Thanks for the help and advice, any idea where I could get hold of the Fischer glue? Plus I believe there is polyester and vinylester.
Any thoughts on which works best?
Have read some tests done in America, but there is nothing conclusive, mostly done with polyester.

How far does the glue go? i.e. how may holes per tube? (roughly)
