Ok, you might think I mention this becuase of my business interest in Waterval Boven ... well yes, but I also have an interest in keeping the crags safe, well bolted, clean with good paths - also for my own pleasure.

The fact is that the SA Police have nailed the kingpin in the Boven crime saga (read the newspaper article on http://www.rocrope.com).

I am now a member of the local Community Police Forum and we are planning projects to keep town safe (it has been rated as the 3rd safest town in Mpumalanga! - just a pity that the crime has been concentrated on climbers and Elandskrans.

There have been problems at the station in the past but with the recent formation of a Community Police Forum, the public can now use the forum to lodge complaints, give input, offer assistance etc.

It has taken long enough, but the cops here are now awake. I guess time will tell?
