We are planning on heading to Zim at the end of the year. Any recommendations on easy/moderate trad climbing in the Eastern Highlands? Any sources for RDs or knowledgeable people?

There are a couple of Zim journals around. Anyone know if MCZ is still alive?

Hi. yes, the mcz is still active. we climb every wednesday without fail at the Cleveland Quarry (-17.84454, 31.13793). I'll go and have a look at the mountain club file for topos in the Hondi valley. I'm sure something would have been done there.

The mountain club is up and running. Here are some contact numbers: Andy Heelas ([+263]885158), or Lynn Gilmour (011 771221)

Hi Carl,
Apparently there are two established routes on Hondi pinnacles. The route descriptions in the club file are rather vague however. Maybe just see who is around when you arrive in Harare. Dave Chidzero has climbed there before <dchidz@africaonline.co.zw> - Maybe send him a line when you know what your plans are.
Cheers,
Ryan
