Is there a course you do? Name of course? Where?

Or do you find someone like Gustav and spend a few days with him while he shows you the rope and thats all you need?

I hear there's a beginner's climbing spot going being opened at Avalon Springs in Montagu, try that?

Paul runs the Climbing Barn in Pretoria East. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to training of beginners/novices. You HAVE to check them out!

Otherwise come climb with us at Exploratio at the University of Pretoria. Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 to 9pm. No experience is required.

It all depends on where you are based. I'm guessing Gauteng or KZN seeing as you know Gustav.
Gustav is also an excellent idea as their setting is a bit better than the concrete and wood of Pretoria.
