I need two good condition ice screws preferably 10-13cm in length . I am in Cape Town and need it within the next 10 days

Drifters, Seven Summits and Camp and Climb all stock screws, if not the Black Diamond distributor has stock and could get it to them well within your time period

I am leaving for switzerland 30th June for two weeks . climbing peaks in Grindelwald and zermatt . Easier ??? 4000m peaks . need the screws as back up cos the guide book recommends them

Most gear shops in Swizzy will stock them, probably cost you less than SA. Several gear shops in Grindelwald.

If you are doing glacial approaches they are useful (make sure you are down with your crevasse rescue techniques), but if you are doing easier peaks you would probably get by without.

Mike Scott from the MCSA Cape Town section organised me 3 ice screws so I am sorted
