So i recently went on the market for a new harness, I've been looking around the lightweight category, sport climbing, working projects and so on, but as soon as i find something i like, something kills my vibe....mostly my apparently fatty thighs

My waist is around 78-79cm, legs around 55-56cm i believe.

So far i've looked at the Edelrid Creed (Need a small, they only have medium and large.), Edelrid Loopo (Leg loops max out at 53cm on the small according to size charts?), and the Petzl Adjama (Dont like petzl gear loops, bad experiences!)

I currently have a Black Diamond but so far all the Black Diamonds I've tried have felt bulky and uncomfortable, so i've kinda backed off of those.

Any advice/insight would be awesome!

its time to hit the gym dave :thumright ...best bet is a harness like the petzl adjama which have adjustable leg loops...your current black diamond harness is old...look at the newer models such as the ozone, which are not bulky at all

Petzl corax also has adjustable leg straps. In my opinion its a grate harnes, and they aren't too pricy

Have you had a look at the Ocun Twist Tech ones. I am very happy with mine and can spend hours in it without a problem.

Ask the supplier to have a small waist belt fitted with medium legloops.
Outdoor Warehouse did this for me. (is was in 1998 and it was in Bloemfontein)

But realistically adjustable legloops would be the best option.

I've got an old Whillans nappy style harness - it should solve your leg loop problem. Only one tiny little issue, if my calculations are right it is 38 years old. On the plus side, I don't think it took many falls :cyclops:

we stock about 12 different models from 5 brands, ranging from R450 to R900. the Petzl Corax makes up about 90% of all sales. it's auto-locking, comfortable, adjustable, and at R457 unbeatable value.
