Hi I'm a student at Stellenbosch University. I am looking for a good set of climbing shoes for a decent price (+/- R 400).

I am very much a beginner and so don't exactly want to break the bank but would obviously like durability and performance. I am not picky about getting a new set, if anyone has a good second hand pair I'm interested.

CityRock suggested Evolv Kaos for my needs.

Thanks for your time, I hope to hear from someone soon.

I just realised it would be better if I expressed my price range as R400 to about R600

I got a pair of mad rock drifters from camp and climb in retreat. at R450 you cant beat them. Decent shoes especially for a beginner.

That sounds great, I'll definitely try come in, I should be able to on Tuesday. You obviously have a range of sizes? I say I'm 11.5 but that is just because of not quite having 12 length feet but too broad feet for 11. But then again I know climbing shoes should be tight.

Hey man, I may have a pair of resoled shoes for you. I just got to get my boet who borrowed them to find them! If I find them you can have them for R36.99 (the price of a six pack of windhoek). Great for a beginner.

I have a pair for Saltics for sale in that size. NEVER been used. Bought them too big, figured it out on my first attempt at climbing with them, and somehow didn't bother selling them.

You can have them for R300. Want to use the money to help my girlfriend to buy new shoes.

Ad going up on City Rock's board tomorrow night, so PM me if you want them.

Pieter

I bought myself a very nice set of Evolv Kaos's. I forked out the R800 but they are worth it. thanks all the same.
