Any routes up the main face? My parents had a house in Pringle a few years back, but sold it. Used to sit on the upstairs decking with binoculars and had a look at it. Never got round to doing it because I came over to the UK. Was wondering if anyone has had a look at it or opened up a route or two yet. Looked hairy from what I can remember.

There are several routes going up the face. I saw RD's and topos in one of the old MCSA journals. I will check and give you the Journal number.

Where is the Hangklip you're talking about? Is it near Queenstown?

Hangklip is near Pringle Bay, Cape Town. As far as I know the Queenstown crag is called Hanglip, which incidentally looked absolutely amazing from the road. Didnt make it up there on that trip unfortunately as we were en route to Tarkastad, but it would most likely be a rad place to seek adventure.

Semantics, semantics. The one near Queenstown is also called Hangklip, and rumour has it that the climbing is phenomenal. Hanglip is up in Limpopo province, near Mokopane (Potgietersrus), and the massive exfoliating flakes there will definately give you a hung-lip if they hit you. My surname is Pringle...
It gets quite confusing
