The age old grade debate continues.... and continue it will because there will be naturally strong climbers with beefy arms, pretty babes with great technique and sly old weak foxes who are gonna find different routes to be different grades. Not to mention height differences or the influence of your tan [yes a well tanned climber looks stronger so definately is stronger!] Then you also have old codgers who find schweet little jams that make impossible routes possible.
A sly old fox [Doc Roger] said, \"its not important if an area is soft by a grade, what is important is that the grades within the area are consistent\" We will never have internationally consistent grades which is why its great having a unique grade system here so people know the grades may be different. Climbing a 7a in Finale [Italy] is very different to climbing a 7a in Tarn [France] which can result in seriously bruised egos if you start in Tarn.
More importantly, the quality of the routes under discussion are outstanding and seeing the pics from the rockrally makes me drool and I am gagging to make a proper visit to the restaurant to see if I can drag my weak @ss up some of those gems.
Mr Administrator can we add an option to the poll \"Instead of wasting time with this discussion I'd rather save my finger power for some sweet steep Boven sandstone\"
