Safas and prosthetic limbs I don't know why. Kudos to him for trying through. He might be better off with a prosthetic jumar though as every photo I've seen of guided climbers going up, every single one is using a jumar on the fixed ropes from the Western Cwm to the summit and it is the same on the Northern side.

Once met an American who had just come back from Everest having summited as a team of four, one of which was a double amputee from the knees down. must be nice not having to worry about the right socks.
