RE: micro cams, I can recommend Wild Country zeros from using them and I know that Aliens have a very good reputation as well (but you cant get buy them in SA). Petzl Hooks are great (recommend two of each) Otherwise a standard rack of nuts and friends (try doubling up on the smaller sizes). A couple of pitons are always useful, knifeblades if you’re doing something hardcore. Two daisy chains and two steps per climber. Jumars, Grigri's. Lead rope, haul line (static). Hauling device, you can devise your own or use a Petzl Mini Traxion (recommend). A good haul bag (that wont fall apart half way up), portaledge if there are no ledges (hammock will work too). Gloves are definitely worth having. Duct tape to extend your cheat stick . Hint: add tie ons to anything you don’t want to drop. Enjoy.

Thanks, but how effective are Zero's. I can see them being used on the hard compact Yosemite granite, but does our rock allow for effective use? Yeah the mini traxion looks like the way to go, very versatile. What about micro nuts any brand recommedations for South African rock.
