What is best way to carry the rope?
Inside bag? or
On top of the Backpack (with coil style)? or
Carry shoulder rope bag?

Depends where you going. On bundu bash walkins it is much better to have it packed away to prevent it snagging but on paths it doesn't matter. Rope bags are great because they avoid putting twists in the rope and keep it clean but they make it bulkier and are extra stuff to carry. I find a back pack coil works very well for walkoffs but it does put twists in the rope.

Thanks. I'm researching to make own rope bag in better way. I've made myself as a prototype but I realise it's too long sheet.

Get a big blue IKE bag. Good as rope bag and tarp, and costs buttons.

Best home-made rope bag I've seen was a large circular tarp with a draw string in the edge and a second draw string around a smaller area in the middle forming a concentric circle. When opened up it is a ground sheet. Pulling the inner draw string slightly makes a "bucket" in the middle where you can pack the rope away. The outer drawstring is then pulled closed and the remainder of the tarp is folded on top of the bucket and tucked inside. Add a strap and voila.

A few years ago I converted a Duffel bag into a rope bag by sewing in removable (zip) ground sheet and adding proper pack straps and support. A few weeks later BD brought out the the Boa Duffel which is almost exactly what I made, only mine looked crappier but had better back support. Needless to say I was a little cheesed off.

My problem is the ground sheet size on most of these bags are too small for belaying someone working a route in sandy crags like many in Montagu, and so I carry a tarp with me. I have found that having a huge (3X4m) clear area is amazing, but you can't pack that with the rope, and it is easier to have it separate, with the rope bag/mat on top of the tarp when you are belaying.

I agree that rope bags are the way forward, but the different designs are basically for different tastes, and spare of existing bags. You rarely need a rope mat for trad, and most of our sport crags have very civil walk ins, where practicality at the crag takes precedent over convenience to pack and carry. My pack has side straps and so the tarp is the first thing to get kicked out of the pack when things get full, and I this useful having a big waterproof sheet close at hand for rain etc.
