There is a local website where you can submit a photo of a spider/snake/plant/tree/insect etc and the forum members identify it for you. Unfortunately I have lost the web address and searching has revealed nothing yet. Anyone know this site?
Thanks for help.

For all the wanna be botanists and entomologists who want to know what those small things are between the cracks check out http://www.ispot.org.za
It's a pretty cool site that will help you identify bugs and flora.

I could've really used this about a week ago. Had an epic to find out which beetle was feasting on my yellowwood table.
In the end I got a positive ID from some of the helpful people at the Agricultural Research Council. www.arc.agric.za

Looks like a cool site though.

Sareptiles as Leebo mentioned is excellent. Ispot is also useful but not always the best for herps like snakes and frogs.

For snake ID you can post pictures on www.capesnakeconservation.com
