Skinny Trad Ropes

Postby MatthewYoung » Thu Nov 15, 2012 9:30 am

So I'm looking at getting new skinny(+- 8mm) trad ropes mostly for TM and Cederberg.

Anyone have an opinion on what to choose... specs are so close for the "Beal Iceline" "Edelrid Merlin" and "Mammut Phoenix".

It all comes down to their hand, soft feel is nice to work with, harder ropes last longer.

Anyone have thoughts, advise or experience on the matter?

Thanks
Matt

Looks like you got the last ones, MMO no longer bring in Blue Water, they have replaced it with Mammut
Happy climbing

If you use ascending/locking devices: Ropeman, Tibloc, Shunt etc...

Check what your specific device can use.

My Ropeman 2 only works on 8.5mm and up.
