Hi I climbed a route just right of undercling on trad gear yesterday. Has it been climbed before? If so what is the route name and grade? It seems like such an obvious line and I cannot imagine no one has climbed it. I reckon it grades at 18, has great gear and needs some crack technique...

I've marked in the pic below.

It could be the Crack of Dawn

From the wiki page on Lakeside Pinnacle:

The climbing
This is a great crag for beginners, with a few challenging routes for others. Crack of Dawn is a splendid crack climb for practicing trad climbing (dont anybody ever bolt it please!!) A walk up to the top of the crag allows you clip the ring bolts to setup topropes for climbs without any lead bolts (be carefull clipping the top anchors, we recommed a safety line when doing this).

Climbed it on toprope a few years back; i guess its been climbed a few times on trad but probably not worth the effort to write it up as a new route? If not claim & name :thumleft:

Old toprope problem. Sure someone must have climbed it but the closest official word I have is the following from Guy Holwills first Western Cape Crags
