Easy grade

Postby CapeTiger » Tue Jan 22, 2013 12:30 pm

Where can I find easy grade (12 - 15) for sport climbing (beside Higgovale)? My friend want to climb easy grade.

Thanks

Lower silver mine has some lower grades.

but i would recomend lake side pinicle IMHO Its THE beginner crag in Cape town.

Also has a great view, and no enterance fee.

Lakeside is a great spot, then Lower Silvermine.

If you're looking outside of CT then the Bold and Beautiful crag has some easier routes Montagu.

Lakeside is a great beginners crag if you ENJOY BAKING AND SWEATING YOUR SACK OFF IN THE SUN !
Take an extra bag of chalk for Lakeside.
Go to Lower Silvermine after 2pm in Summer.

hehe, best go early or on a cloudy day - Lakeside is best visited in winter.

Paul, you forget to mention the bee's at Lakeside

There are easy (grade 12-15) sport climbs at Peers Cave too, of course.

Best winter crag, dries v. quick, plus some easier trad lines and green points

U r right, Kevin.

Is it safe or easy to abseiling for a person who is first time? Silvermine Lower Crag has abseiling to get the crags.

you CAN abseil into lower silvermine but everyone walks in (ten - 15 minutes) as it is much easier and safer
