I have spotted a crag in Hout Bay that looks about 30-40m high and about 60m wide the rock looks good from 1km away but I want to have a closer look. The crag is in a stunning location and there does appear to be an overgrown path to the crag but it is very indirect so will probably take about 1.5hrs to walk there (so you have to enjoy hiking as well as climbing). There are also two other potential crags nearby.

My usual partners are injured, too busy or are put off by the walk-in.

Would you like to come with? I was planning of going to have a look this Sunday.

No it is not Skoorsteenskop, to my knowledge there are no routes on the rock that I'd like to visit. It is possible that it was climbed on many years back or it is someone's secret crag but I doubt it.

so it is not fountain ledge but could be fun to have a look, and it is in a beautiful area. There are also another 2 crags nearby but I don't have good photos of them.
