Sport climbing: Waterval Boven; Umgeni; Harrismith (Eagle Mountain); Paarl; Oudtshoorn; Montagu; Cape Town. (Boven, Montagu & Harrismith are my top 3).
Bouldering: Rocklands, Cape Town; Ezemvelo; Harrismith
Trad climbing: Blouberg (remote big wall); Magaliesberg; Table Mountain; Cederberg (Wolfberg, Tafelberg & Krakadouw); Monteseel

All the info you need on the wiki.

The list is looonnngg... it really depends on you and your capabilities.

Check out the Hit Lists below:

* The South African Trad Best Routes Hit List
* The South African Sport Best Routes Hit List

You may want to list some options and then ask people to choose between / get advice :)

Its probably best to mention a general area(s) first and your preferences i.t.o. accesibility, sport/trad/single/multi pitch etc.
Nice list Willem - just move Monteseel to trad (although its so accesible it does have a sport feel, you will need some gear though...).

Shongweni added in sport - certainly the wildest crag I've ever been to (or is access too sketchy now?)

And add "Cape Town" under sport too - The Cave, The Mine, Silvermine, Peers Cave, etc represent a great variety of sport routes.

Every now and then I realise how insanely blessed we are here in the Southern tip of Africa. So much great climbing!

That sport hit list looks a bit thin btw.....
