Was hoping to get some routes in on Table Mountain tomorrow, but now the forecast is calling for rain :/ Any suggestions for places not so far away that either usually escape the local storm? Or crags that are steep enough (with not-so-absorbant rock) that climbing while it rains is possible? Maybe there's even a place on Table Mountain like this, but not that seems obvious to me. Single-pitch or multi-pitch is fine; trad, sport, whatever! Thanks for the help!

The Mine only gets schlauky when a South Easter blows (tomorrow is NW) - so with the small amount of rain forecast for tomorrow, you should be fine at The Mine.
An alternative would be to drive out to Montagu
Enjoy

The Mine faces north. A north-north-westerly wind might blow the rain straight into the crag.
With a forecast that be like this weekend, your best bet is a drive out to Montagu.

the Mine also gets very schlauky when it's humid (low cloud and temps of 20+). i have had some great days out there in winter even when raining, but it has also backfired. and the wind could be a problem as Phlip said, but it does not seem like Saturday will see particularly strong wind, especially the afternoon. http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc ... sty=m_menu.
