Throwing Rocks

Postby Xharlie » Mon Jul 22, 2013 9:36 am

Yesterday, on the walk in to our climb on Lion's Head - the Circular Route - I passed a father and two kids. The kids were gleefully throwing fist sized rocks off the path and the father was watching, making no effort to deliver the righteous 'bliksem'-ing the kids duly deserved for such behaviour or even to point out that throwing rocks in the hills is unacceptable, even if one thinks that there is no path below your position.

I was not in the mood for a scene so I walked on by.

I hereby confess my guilt - I did not give them a piece of my mind, as was my duty - and ask forgiveness from the mountaineering community.

That's the same as coming home and finding another man on top of your wife and leaving the house without saying anything. Yup, its seriously that bad !

Not true, someone throwing rocks could kill a person, the other option usually wouldn't...

Yep. Someone gonna die.

At least that won't happen while I'm out climbing - my wife is nearly always climbing with me.
