Hmm, maybe Marshall thought my draws on Condor at Rock Rally were litter and did a poor job of only removing the bottom one... I hope not? :(

Someone recently stole the first draw off every route with draws at Fern.

ok Mike, this shows that clearly draws are not safe at Fern. Clearly if you leave draws on routes at Fern they don't matter much. So lets not squeal much.

Simple statement of fact that draws have been stolen = squealing? That's not squealing.

You're a stupid c*** with no sense of humor!

That's squealing.

@mikej We all entitled to our opinion, but deformation is just as illegal as stealing. And its not "an" but "a" ..... :drunken:

Right you are, although it's defamation, no? :)

But in all seriousness, I don't see why some guy who doesn't even live here needs to come into a local thread about lost quickdraws and advocate that (1) someone who lost their quickdraws shouldn't give them back, even if the very kind person who found them would like to return it, and (2) that if someone left draws on a route they must not be very valuable. How is this at all helpful?

Living alone in the Eastern Cape seems to have warped Marshall's interpersonal skills beyond repair. Marshall should be banned from this forum. And that's not a joke.

I haven't had to reprimand users for ages.

Language people :?
**Keep the arguments to the subject, not the members! (think of the children and kittens!)

Justin is that how you keep a straight face when reading the forum....thinking of kittens?

Come guys - you are all very hostile while making the same point - RELAX - go do some climbing...

Of course if you leave draws hanging around someone is going to take them - no surprises there - & Marshall is right - you are the one that left them there so no point in whinging. Yes people still leave their draws hanging around though, even Marshall does...the point remains the same...it's a no brainer...if you leave your draws or rope in place & they get taken it really is your problem & no amount of whinging will change that.

So when someone takes something that has been left behind then BOOHOO what right do you have to whinge? None whatsoever except to express your despair.

This is a logical objective approach - I am not the one taking your kit either but if you are the tossers littering the Magaliesberg with your stuff then you must accept that less scrupulous individuals will see it & take it. You are probably contributing to crime in those areas by encouraging scavengers. Think about it. Maybe you are cool & hardcore so you think that means you can litter the crags with your stuff but obviously some Magpie thinks these are just rewards left for them.

If you really were so cool you could probably collect your draws like everyone else!

Unleash Vitriol...
