Hi everybody

I will come in from France to Cape Town from 02/01/2014 to 20/01/2014 mainly for windsurf but I'm also found found of climbing. I have heard you have splendid cliffs and boulders fields. But as it will be summer for you, the weather may be too hot for climbing anyway. What do you think ?

By the way, my level is not great : 6a+ at sight inf cliffs ; 6b+, 6c with work ; some experience of outdoors but only when the paths/ways are already equiped ; bad level in boulders.

Another question. Is there a good shop in Cape Town for buying top climbing shoes ?

Thanks in advance for your answers ;)

Vincent

There are plenty of climbs in Cape Town and the surrounds-check out http://www.climbing.co.za/wiki/Cape_Town

You can buy gear from City Rock-http://www.cityrock.co.za/

Happy climbing, the Western Cape is climbing heaven :)

Hello everybody

I'm at Blouger since the 2. Nice weather but odd winds :(/ Nevertheless, I've bring climbing shoes, some puff and harness... The weather is probably to hot to climb but if you have a session in mind and look for a partner, I would gladly join.

My GSM ZA number is 07.61.47.51.61 ;)

Hi Vincent. When you talk about 'puff' do you mean resin or chalk? Resin aka 'pof' is very much NOT allowed for climbing in SA. Magnesium based chalk should be used.
