Anyone know if there is much work around in SA for bods with rope access qualifications? Was looking into doing it a few years ago, and am tempted into having a go if it would be a viable work option in SA. Current job not really an option in SA, well not if I want to be able to afford a few beers...

Hi, What are you interested in?

Iwork in the Telecoms fiel and we have a shortage of ropework guys. Most only have a level 1 cert whichmeans they can only work on structure. Guys with Level 2 or higher can abseil ete and that's what we need on buildings and some cellular mass.

howzit, kontact top rope, skysite, rigging corp, skyriders, rope tech or george roofing. There is always onshore jobs going, just get Irata level 1, I got mine at ASC in milnerton, cost like R6500 and I was very happy with the training fesilities and trainers.
