Post by Susglen » Sat Jan 20, 2018 12:33 pm

Does anyone out there have a contact in the Gauteng area for replacing zippers on outdoor jackets? Thanks

send it to Patagonia. They built their name on a high-quality product, and will most likely fix it for free. Now, if it was a different brand, I would bring it to your local cleaners. Maximum of them will do repair work for a decent price.

Is it a YKK zip? They have a lifetime guarantee.

I cannot but help think this is Trolling...

Levingers - there are several in Gauteng and they will replace or repair the zip. Funny they come up when you Google...

I seriously doubt anyone in SA can do a jacket for a reasonable fee but try them.

Or send it to Patagonia as the useful comment from Washington told you...it may cost more than you ever thought that way :jocolor:
Really, its not that bad...I think it's my shoes...

Yes, Dolores comes across as a bit suspect

I would contact Cape Union Mart, First Ascent, CapeStorm. They all have the means to repair your jacket properly - it's just questionable if they do repairs to clothing other than their own?

Please let us know how you get on.

Will try Levingers as they have been recommended by the Outdoor Shops. Will let you know on the results. Thanks
