It's pretty straight forward. The walk up takes about 45 minutes. 50 meter ropes are fine. It's a great route, enjoy.

Interesting. Never new about the route but somehow did a "FA" myself with Margaret some 15 years ago although it was probably a slightly different line. Remember it being about grade 19 though

Are you sure that you climbed it Snort? If you had, I'm certain you'd have written it up, its a stunning line and definitely grade 16.
Happy climbing

I didn't bother writing it up. The way we went was a bit scrappy at the top Definitely climbed a similar line. Starts easy on the rib and the at the top I remember having to switch across a flared chimney crack that was a bit awkward.

Ten years ago Nix Swart and I opened a new trad route on Cogmans Buttress starting just left of the Rave. We named it 'Super Corego" as we're no youngsters. 6 pitches crossing over the Rave and going up the ribs to the top. Grade 16 or 17 at the top. We wrote it up but never submitted it. Unfortunately some parts of the two lower puitches have since been bolted being part of Walking on sunshine. Serves us right for not submitting the write up. The route is really worth doing. We've subsequently climbed it 3 times. You'll most probably see our abseil tat on the way up. I can send you the RD and pics if you wish. PM me. Ringo

Why not submit it at this point? Or is it too late now?

@Ringo: I got your RD from a friend, any objection to me writing it up on the Wiki?

Hello Nic, Yes write it up. Thank you. I'm not very good at doctoring pics to show the route. Too long in the tooth right now to do that.
I have better pics but my hard drive with all the good pics gave up the ghost so I'm waiting for a company in Montagu Gardens to try to recover everything on it.
Regards, Andrew H-G
