Climbing at Kleinmond- fires and safety update

Hi

Does anyone know if the recent fires have impacted the climbing at Kleinmond? Also what is the latest on safety of cars parked at parking and have there been any safety issues on or near the crag?

Not sure if you have received an answer yet, however with regard to the fires, the Kleinmond climbing area has not been impacted.
With regards to safety, I am not sure and would be interested to find out from a more knowledgeable local. However the parking lot does
appear usually busy which leads me to believe it should be relatively safe... Please confirm though.

I've never heard of any problems at either of the parking areas.

A thought would be to call up the local police station and ask them if they have any recent reports of crime incidents.

There is (was?) some kind of surf/outdoor store at the Betty's Bay shop, they rented pads and climbing gear. I'm sure a bit of Googling will find their number. They should know.

There were definitely problems in the past, they broke into my friend's car while we were climbing at the crag several years ago.
