Stolen Montrail Climbing Shoes

Post by DouglasWard » Wed Dec 06, 2006 7:52 am

This morning whilst out jogging in Wynberg, I ran past a construction worker who was wearing a pair of new-looking Montrail climbing shoes (the green velcro slippers). He told me he bought them off a guy in the street in Claremont.

This situation almost certainly speaks for the shoes having been stolen. Has anybody lost a pair of such shoes due to theft or otherwise? Or any retailers lost a consignment of gear anywhere. This worker told me he'd be on the same street corner tomorrow morning, so I can return to try to get further details of the seller, or to buy/trade the shoes back! He agreed that they were too uncomfortable for construction work, and that he'd willingly accept another pair of shoes in exchange!.

Or even an undercover boulderer , testing out his rubber at a construction site and trying to get the jealous eye from his co - workers...
