Did you forget you favourite boots at the crag? Or, did you find some quickdraw on the 4th bolt of some route?

Rocklands: where can I get permits to climb at Rocklands (cape nature areas). I know it is cheaper and easier to get a wild card but I am just interested as to where you can get permits.

Try 027 482 2403 (the number is presumably for CNC, the number comes from a sign at the Kliphuis campsite)

Kliphuis campsite closure - see the 2nd post from the bottom

First, this reason no-one gets day permits when they go to Rocklands is because you need to drive all the way to Porterville to get one!!

Second, they cost R65-70 pppd as to R190 for the year (R750-800 for international), retarded on both accounts!!!!!!!!

Third, there is no inforcement of the permit system. I have never been asked to show my Wild Card before? I go there a LOT!

Fourth, the revenue generated from sales of permits is not spent in Rocklands, just have a look at the state of the CLOSED Kliphuis Campground!
