"bailing in the eye..." This was taken whilst abseiling halfway off Scholes route on the north face of Giants Castle. A huge electrical storm was coming in behind us in the photo, and we thought it wise to tuck tail and run. The second time the "bailing in the eye..." A huge electrical storm was coming in behind us in the photo, and we thought it wise to tuck tail and run. The second time the weathers caught me on that route!!!!

Details: Pieter Schuurman [aid] climbing the beacon on Britannia Rock (grade 11 sustained – this includes climbing up with the chain that probably counts as aiding). This was taken just after Pieter and Chris completed the Sands of Time route on the opposite (Gordon’s Rock) boulder. The wind was also blowing quite heavily making this a very difficult climb.
