Usually it’s tough keeping the routes fresh for Rumble. Through our route setters’ best efforts we have always managed a little something diverse and interesting every comp.

The second Rumble will be held on the 26th March. This year we will once again have 6 Rumbles – that means one awesome competition to look forward to every 2 months.
The 4th Rumble of 2014 was the best to date. This round saw the gym filled with a record number of competitors, testing out the routes which had a funky mix of styles.
In celebration of another fantastic year, Southern Rock Climbing Centre will be holding it’s birthday event on 7th August.
World famous for its fine bouldering in a very beautiful setting, there are also several sport and natural crags in this area.

Andrew Wood and Julia Chen have been making several visits to Redhill and have repeated some of the older test-pieces of the area.
Former Durbanite, turned Cape Town student Benjamin de Charmoy visited Redhill and sent the “Elfen Lied” 8A traverse on his second try after re-working the moves.
