Western Cape Climbing welcomes all Western Cape climbers to the Provincial Lead Competitions. The main aim of these competitions is to provide our National Selectors to choose the very best competitors to represent South Africa in competing in future International/World Events.

A new year and a new series of Rumbles are on their way. So get those guns firing and ready
The 6th Rumble is on it’s way and because it is the final one Southern Rock is going to bump up the festivities a few notches.
For the first time in many, many years, the Western Cape became host to the biggest indoor climbing competition in South Africa: the 2014 National Lead Climbing Competition.
The South African National Lead Competition will take place this year on the 4th and 5th of October at CityROCK gym in Cape Town.
The Protea’s Youth Climbing Team are competing in Noumea, New Caledonia this weekend – the climbing is being streamed live, so you can watch it live over the weekend.
On the 17th August the KZN Sport Climbing Lead Finals was held at the UKZN Sports Centre with ages of u13 to u17 girls/boys competing for Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals.
The 4th Rumble of 2014 was the best to date. This round saw the gym filled with a record number of competitors, testing out the routes which had a funky mix of styles.
The Southern Rock Rumble’s often have a festive air to them but some stand out as particularly fun.
