I saw a High Line set up over the gully on the way down to Baboon Buttress. I could not get the sight out of my mind. I have to try this!
It’s the 3rd edition of the South African Highline Meeting, hosted at De Pakhuys in Rocklands over the Easter weekend, 25-28 March 2016. This meeting will be held in memory of Sylvain Burki.
In 2015 I attended the 2nd annual ‘Rocklands Highline Meeting’ hosted by Sylvain & Charmaine.
I decided to head South to see what wonders lie beyond. I met some friendly rock climbers on the beach and decided to rig a highline.

This was everybody’s first time on a highline. It was a daunting 30m line that was wonky at its best. I loved the energy and enthusiasm. Well done everybody!
