My parents met on a Mountain Club of South Africa meet, in 1976. My mother climbed in the Magaliesberg when she was pregnant with me. I was two months old when I first went to the top of Table Mountain, in a back pack. Even though I have been in the mountains since I was very young, I count my 18 years of climbing experience, from when I started sport climbing at Chosspile, when I was a fine-art student at Tswane University of Technology.
