“Prof. Steve Bradshaw reopened ‘Sunrise in Your Eyes’ which he originally opened at grade 27 in the early 90’s. However, the crux handhold fell off soon after the first ascent, and I doubt that anyone has climbed the route since because the old crux bolt snapped off with a light tug during the recent ARF meet (the entire route was rebolted with glue-ins).
Anyway, the route now climbs the very obvious thin seam on the left of the 3rd bolt and has some really cool moves. Steve is clueless about the grade but reckons something around 30. It would be cool to hear what others think… My money says that you’re unlikely to get much change from that grade!”
