A teaser for a proposed documentary about rock climbing and its history on Table Mountain, recently declared a ‘Natural Wonder of the World’, in Cape Town, South Africa.
Cool rad footage but slapping for heavily chalked up holds on practiced brutally hard short tricks with tested gear is not typical at all of TM climbing.
Hope the full documentary gives an accurate perspective and includes some classic climbing in good positions.
Also to suggest that climbing on TM stagnated for 20 years is not true. In the 16 years that I have lived in Cape Town there has been regular additions of bold and tricky test pieces that have burnt off some really good climbers. And several routes opened over this period have never been on-sighted and not for lack of trying by some very strong dudes.
Hell yeah, awesome!!!
Epicness! Can’t wait!!
Man that looks rad! Psyched.
Love the roof – what is it?
