The Mission to a GOLDen height is a story about more than a mountaineering adventure, it is about mission to simultaneously develop socially and environmentally conscious youth leaders within Africa’s underprivileged communities. The Mission team aimed to achieve this by leveraging the amazing charity GOLD (Generation of Leaders Discovered) through their expedition to summit Mt Batian (5,199m) (highest peak on Mt Kenya, 2nd highest in mountain in Africa) in August this year.
Mt Kenya unlike many other high mountains cannot be walked up and requires a 700m technical rock climb to reach the summit making it quite an undertaking and adventure and a half. The story will be told by those who lived it and include pictures, videos and personal anecdotes from the Mission. Come and see if the team achieved their dreams…
