The CityROCK Climbing Film Festival was a huge success. We had 14 shows, 11 of them sold out, with 2,800 people attending.
In Cape Town, Ster-Kinekor added two extra screenings of Free Solo, which also sold out. Quite a number of people saw all four of the movies!
I managed to secure an extremely valuable ticket to the final screening of Reel-Rock 13. I wasn’t disappointed. From the sheer passion and ‘other-worldly’ level of Adam Ondra, to the desolate big walls of Wadi Rum, a new found understanding of speed climbing, and a mixed, high quality dream team tackling the most isolated frozen towers of Antarctica.
Thanks Robert Breyer it was a treat!
