Kings Kloof rock climbing

See below a document for climbing at Kings Kloof.  The area is open for climbing under some very strict rules.

Prior booking is one so they can control numbers, and prior payment so that no cash exchanged.  So if we want to go climbing there we need to plan ahead of time and not decide and pitch up on the day as before.

  1. Will outdoor climbing be allowed from June? Say we wanted to visit the Quarry in town

  2. No vuvuzelas allowed! These lockdown restrictions are ridiculous.

  3. Regulation is clear that beaches and public parks remain closed (assuming all national parks falls under this). I guess King’s Kloof sneaks through a little loop hole – not a private game reserve then 😉

  4. They also increased the entrance fee from the prior 30R pp if i remember correctly.
The Sites Rules were already in place before lockdown.

  5. Hi

We went to kings Kloof today, it was well organised and everything went smoothly. Just also remember to email Derek the ID numbers of the people coming. We were 3 and there was another French couple there as well. Speaking to Derek it seems they already fully booked the next 3 weekends, Sat and Sun, top and bottom crag. However in the week there is lots of openings.

Thank you again to Derek and the management team of Rockey Valley for making this climbing venue available to us.
