New Crag in Silvermine

Hey guys I'm thinking of bolting a crag in Silvermine. Wondering why no one else has bolted this as it looks pretty cool, I haven't gone to check it out close up but i will very soon. Let me know if anyone else has tried or was thinking of it. I don't mind if anyone else wants to bolt some routes too. I haven't asked MCSA yet but I will once I've checked it out.

Hi Craig,

I've seen that bit of rock before (never been up to it though). The reason it probably never got developed is because there are bigger and better things out there.

Just, considering the spates around bolting the last few weeks, please follow the correct channels before putting drill to rock.

That crag has certainly been used by some as a trad venue for many, many years. Personally I don't think it would be worth bolting it...

Yeah, this wasnt a set in stone idea (excuse the pun )! I just wanted to know it anyone else things its worth it. I'll still go check it out maybe climb a route or two on trad and then consider contacting MCSA to get permission and all that.

hey craig, i think its worthwhile to scope the rock on the far left-hand side of the Mine (where everybody goes to pee ) - doesn't look like any stellar lines but there may be a few worthwhile ones.
