I dare say, there are many more pressing things that can be counterproductive. TV being one of them, closely followed by junkfood... In decreasing order of relevance(in terms of counter-productivity) :
TV>Junkfood>.......> work(maybe, maybe not?) >....>Campus board>....>....>>Running.
The worst that can happen if you run too much is that you might be a good runner, thin, and not out of breath on epic walk ins.
