Lakeside's pinnacle has fallen down

UPDATE The pinnacle has not fallen down. Apparently I just need new glasses. If you need a good laugh, carry on reading... :oops:

As I drove along Main rd in Muizenberg/Lakeside, I looked up at Lakeside Pinnacle and noticed something missing...

Not a great photo I'm afraid. I'll try go up after work.

So comparing your photo to this one taken some years ago:

It looks like the pinnacle is still there?

Admittedly this was from the road, and maybe the light was messing with me, but I'm going to go up and check after 5. I'll report back...

(I'm referring to the obelisk that protrudes from the face, not the entire mountain, just to make that clear)

I just took a drive up on Boyes Drive to double-check, and the pinnacle is still there. Colour me embarrassed. :oops: I think it was just the lighting that muddled my brain.
