Rocklands: Dihedral sector: Sports routes
Rocklands: Dihedral sector: Sports routes
Hi guys
Does anyone have any info about the bolted routes below the Dihedral bouldering sector in Rocklands? I've searched around and haven't found any mention of them. They seem fully bolted (and fairly new). I'm wondering if they're open/graded, or are closed projects. If they're open, does anyone have a guide?
Thanks!

Hi
Climbing wiki has some updates. However, specifically on the Facebook block, there looks like 3 routes and 1 (my) very closed project I bolted recently.
Left of Facebook is a 22 ‘funny farm’ starts on blocks pocket for left hand then up to get above the undercut roof.
Walking in past Facebook and around corner to left is my closed project.
It is closed noting A. Finger tape at first bolt B. iP in chalk - either of these are typical indicators. Thanks for asking! : when someone bolts a route with the massive expense plus petrol plus ‘lost’ climbing time plus drills and batteries that die as sunk costs it is a significant investment: especially for me with 4 children, a corporate job, and trying to squeeze in staying fit and strong while bringing new routes out. I will bE livid if it gets climbed: there’s so many other opportunities to open new routes people can just do their own

Forket can you maybe draw a pic, take a photo and upload as a small image? Not sure where these routes are

Nice work guys! Would love to see some pics. I hear tell these new crags are the berries

Re: Rocklands: Dihedral sector: Sports routes
Knife Fight : open @ propose 27
Walk up gulley between Facebook and Imagine at ‘Crags of Joy’ to the alley behind. First route is Knife Fight now open.
Feedback appreciated! The next route is Closed project of Sean Maasch, actively being worked.

This is not the Dihedral sector. Start a new thread to avoid confusion.

Close enough. It’s posted in reply to the original query where the poster mixed it up.
Bester crag isn’t either, but it’s posted here. People are smart they’ll
Work it out

Lekker route, thanks for the addition to the crag! Interesting moves, cool location and shady.

One life, one body. Use them well.
