Hi
here is the info about the Beal Air Lite - the cheapest of the Beal pads :
https://www.rammountain.co.za/product/b ... ering-pad/
you can see details of the other Beal pads here :
https://www.rammountain.co.za/product-c ... ring-pads/
while I can't speak to the Mad Rock pads; I can tell you that Beal makes two "types" of pads. The more basic pads (air light & triple air) have one thick layer of softer foam, an one thinner layer of harder EVA foam. This allows you to vary your landing.
the bigger, more expensive pads have three layers of foam - with a very soft layer on on side(for close to the ground falls) , a hard layer on the other (for high ball problems) and a shock absorbing layer in the middle. this is called the Verso Concept

having used the Beal pads - I can attest to the good qualilty of their build & their long term durability
hope this helps

Ive had both makes beal double air and the older madrock pads and the new ones. The build quality and foam layers are better in the beal double air but nothing wrong with the madrock pads maybe they dont last as long as the beal. Always prefer the beal in terms of quality but the price of mad rock draws me to them.
Re: Best Crash Pad for buying? Mad Rock or Beal?
Mad Rock pads last for a very long time. I owned a Beal Triple Air and it was a good pad but didn't last all that long. The standard MadPad is a very simple pad with nothing fancy and nothing has changed for a very long time. The foam is great and stays solid for ages. Probably the biggest difference between the Beal and the MadPad is overall size and thickness. The MR pad is thicker and slightly bigger than the Beal. In essence they're both good pads but you're likely to get more out of the MadPad, especially if you're taking falls from height.
