why we're selling the camalots

We're selling two sets (our \"American\" rack) to buy a single new set of BD cams. Cutting down on weight, and quantity. Don't need a double set to climb the short Cape rock pitches. That's why.

All the cams are in good shape. Sure, they're used, but you can't beat the BD design. It's been the same for decades. And is still the same.

The top L double stems(set2) may be of the batch that BD with drew. Please check out the alumnium part which attaches the cable ends to the caming bits. If it is cracked, throw it.

Let this warning not dampen any ones enthusiasm. just check it out. These sets are really great at the price.

cams are 100%

Older set (2) is sold. So is the #3.5. Only the newer set (1) remains.

Just checked the new prices online. Here's what you'd pay for new camalots:
.5:R502, .75:R515, 1: R515, 2:R540, 3:R550, 4:R683 = R3305
toss in 6 BD Hotwires @ R74 a piece (R444). The total for new gear, not including replacement triggers comes to R3749.

R1800 is what you pay for our used cams, including biners and replacement triggers. That's less than half.

All you old trad climbers know that cams last a long long time if taken care of properly, cleaned and lubed every year or so. Triggers last several years, or longer. These cams have been taken care of and are in good condition.

All you new-to-trad climbers must realize that there are no better camming devices than Black Diamond Camalots, and if you can't afford the new ones, this is a screaming deal for a rack of cams.
