Hi. I saw from an earlier forum post that there is an established trad area, mostly single pitches, at Kleinmond one tier higher than the top sports routes.
Anyone got any info on these routes or know where I could find some?
Sweet.

Hey Jolene,
I have not personally been there, but it doesnt look like there is much space above the sports areas ? May have been bolted over time ?

There's some tradable looking rock behind the Runaway wall (towards Kleinmond) - you can see it clearly from the road (before you get to the parking area coming from Kleinmond side). I have no idea if there are established routes however.
There is an established trad crag in Hermanus:

I have heard that some folks have traded at the area in the direction of Kleinmond from Runaway as mentioned in the post above, but I am not sure who it was or when. I have been meaning to go explore for a while, as it does look like it has potential but there is lots on the list to explore
I have a done a few single pitches to the right of Runaway that will eventually get written up when the backlog gets taken care of.
In the absence of info the best idea may just be to go and have a look for yourself

One life, one body. Use them well.

There used to be a topo on the RAM mountain site, but I think it was taken off when they re-did the site and started developing The Edge platform. If I remember correctly it is called the Camalot Crag. It had around 5 lines opened with potential for a few more. I recall an 18/19, a 20 and a 23. We're talking 15+ years ago, so pinch of salt.
I may have a copy of the topo somewhere. Will put it on the wiki if I find it.
edit:
I found the photo topo and uploaded to wiki: https://www.climbing.co.za/wiki/Kleinmond#Trad
