Angie (that's Mrs Bradshaw) did mention the amount of glare in the shots. Steve is working on the tan...

With reference to the latest pic of Andrew somewhere in the freestate, that area looks really cool!!
Looks similar to Harrismith...possibly a new crag at Eagle mtn?
Would love a little info on the place... any ideas?

Re: Latest climb pic.
The "undisclosed location" looks remarkably similar to the cliffs above the location of the early National boulder league finals. So closer to Swinburne than Eagle Mtn, but I'm just guessing, so whatever..
At the chaaaaains boet!!
Re: Latest climb pic.
Another pic of the ''Wow Prow''. Found by Hector Pringle (he always finds amazing crags). Its in the Freestate, 3.5 hrs from JHB. Access in progress but should be fine. A selection of 6-7 VERY high quality routes likely.

Re: Latest climb pic.
They are shallow and some have funny 'balls' (calcareous nodules) in them, some of which were loose and come out! Others I had to crack like nuts then pull the bits out, some are solid and you can only crimp the edges of the pockets. Below is a pic of the half-height shake, check out those weird balls! Rad. Dirk also bolted a v cool looking 27/28 and Hectors Fist or Fly, 23 is an instant classc. Andrew

Re: Latest climb pic.
GOOD GOD! Im buying a ticket today, see you there in 3 days!!!!
If only....
But seriously, that wall looks like the most amazing maze of pockets and edges, that could seriously be a "go to" destination even if there are only a few routes, the quality looks to be 11outof10!
But please dont make any "suspiciously shallow" pockets!
that would be an unjust thing to do to such a spectacular wall. Not that you were thinking of it

Re: Latest climb pic.
Another pic. It IS just like a sandstone Ceuse. Shame its only a few routes, but yes they are all going to be 5 star. The pockets are all real! Andrew

Re: Latest climb pic.
Sorry I wasnt trying to insinuate anything, just reading Justin's post between the lines.
What are your ideas for bolting? I see both aretes, maybe 3or4 through the middle and one line traversing left to right connecting the 3 or 4?

Re: Latest climb pic.
Judging by where the photo is taken from, there must be a similar rock near by???
