Hi guys.
I was wondering if anyone has a detailed topographical hiking map of Jonkershoek? Maybe lead me in the right direction.
Thanks.

There is a Hottentots Holland hiking trail map that you may still be able to get at the Jonkershoek Cape Nature Office, it's no longer in print but they do have a few copies. It shows the whole of the reserve and most of the trails.
Is there something specific you wanted to know? I know the area quite well.

Hey Nic.
Not after anything specific. I don't know the area all that well, so just want a reference point to familiarise myself a bit. Keen to get to a summit of sorts on one of those mountains. The cape nature brochure is all I could find so far and it doesn't indicate much. Do you think there's a copy of that HH hiking map at the mcsa?
Thanks

There was a climbing guide by Ernst Lotz, original in Afrikaans, but also a translated version. I have these and some maps, but can't remember where I got them from...? PM me if you want to know more.

The Ernest Lotz book Jonkershoek en sy berge is available as a pdf here and a partial English translation here. It is also out of print unfortunately.
More info can be found here on Tony Heher's very useful Mountain Meanders site
A friend of mine has scanned the map, I can probably get him to email it to you if you give your address.
