Not far from Montagu, about 350 meters walk-in from the road on a gentle incline.

Re: Big Ass Wall
Oh boy... we'll add a 'Like' button when FB buy us out! For the mean time it's a hassle (for various reasons) to install
Yes, Emile... it's just up the road
We have not been up to the wall yet (just ogled it from the bottom). The long roof on the left of the crag will be a stopper to gain access to the wall above. The RHS will go first.

What's the status on the outback crag? Climb? No climb? Sport? Trad?

Re: The Outback
Well it's eagle nesting time right now, so no climbing right now.
There are a few routes/projects there from Guy Holwill. The wall gets all day sun, so winter climbing would be best.
The routes are all sport
If anyone is keen to go out, give me a shout.
Tx Vander.
From Outback Crag access thread:
Just a note to those planning to visit the Outback Crag (between Ladismith and Montagu):
The crag itself is on the property of Mr Saaiman, but the area next to the road is on the property of Mr Terlien. The property borders are only marked on maps, but in short you park and start off on Mr Terlien's property, and then move onto Mr Saaiman's as you approach the crag. Please contact both parties beforehand in order to keep up good relationships to what has been described as "possibly the best crag in the Western Cape".
Contact numbers:
Mr Bart Saaiman, or his son, Boemie: 028 5511 154
Mr Roy Terlien: 073 202 7950
