Western Cape Climbs in Summer

Post by Alipio » Sun Feb 22, 2015 11:39 pm

Hey everyone

I will be around Cape Town for a week looking to climb. I might be at the Table Mountain soon for the trad classics, but would also like to search for sport climbing sites that are suitable during summer.

Is Cederberg too hot during late February? Should I focus on the peninsula?

If you're in town for only a week I would concentrate on Table Mountain. Cederberg is a long drive, but certainly climbable all year round, you find shade at different times and so you can climb even when it super hot.

enjoy the time here - best climbing ever!
